Mixing liquid yourself - how does it work?

To mix your own e-liquid, you first need the 3 components of a liquid:

  1. The base, which normally consists of PG, VG and/or purified water and does not contain nicotine
  2. A base mixed with high nicotine content, so-called nicotine shots
  3. The aroma

Once you have all the ingredients of the liquid you just have to mix it in the right ratio. To calculate this ratio, enter the desired amount of liquid you want to end up with, the desired nicotine strength, the nicotine strength of your nicotine shot (usually 18 or 20 mg/ml) and the desired percentage of flavor.

The required proportion of the aroma can vary from aroma to aroma and from flavor to flavor. If the self-mixing for you is still new or you try a new, for you previously unknown, flavor, however, a proportion of 3 to 5% is recommended. If the taste of the liquid should be too weak or too strong afterwards, you can increase or decrease the aroma proportion at any time.

Increase/decrease aroma share

When mixing it yourself, it's mostly about the taste, some prefer their liquid with more, others prefer less flavor. Whether it's your home-mixed liquid, or pre-purchased. If you want to change something in the proportion of the flavor is not as difficult as you might imagine.

To calculate how much base or flavor you need to add to your liquid, simply enter how much flavor you currently have, how much you want it to be, and approximately how much liquid it is.

Reduce nicotine strength

The nicotine strength of a liquid can also be reduced very easily. Just as a beginner, it often happens that you buy a liquid that is then too strong. Before you let the liquid then gather dust in the closet you can rather weaken it a bit.

To do this, simply enter the current nicotine strength of your liquid into the third calculator on this page, the nicotine strength you would prefer, and the desired amount of liquid you would like to end up with.

Depending on how much you want to reduce the nicotine strength, the liquid may taste a bit bland afterwards and can tolerate additional flavoring. To get around this you should use already flavored 0mg base.
